Materialism

In this article it says the more materials we have the more happier we will be. in my opinion i do not think that is exactly true. i myself am very content i usually am always happy and a lively person. when i want something that is new or popular, first i usually do not get it because of the price. and second if i do get it, it usually because of my birthday or Christmas. materials people have or want can sometimes make that person happy in some ways. a lot of people are like that, to me sometimes it has to do with how you were raised. did you have a good childhood? did you come from a loving home? these are the kind of things that may make people happy from buying the latest most popular item on the market. in a lot of cases people do not need materials in there life to make them a happy person, they should find joy in other thing such as other people and things they like to do.

Violence

I think the person has a good point in this article. They make good points on how sex and violence will never stop happening on the television and movies. that if the person does not want to watch it or does not want there children to watch inappropriate things on television to turn it off or turn it to something else. In my opinion they are trying to say do not complain about what is on the television and what things should be shown or not, they are saying be responsible and if you do not want to be influence by it take the action to watch something else or part take in something different than television. another example if a parent does not want there kid to be watching an inappropriate show put a lock on the channel or just supervise what they watch on the television and when they watch it on the television. if these actions are done more often and a person does not want to be surrounded by these things and are more responsible and take matters into there own hands. things on television would not be a big as deal to those kind of people. in this article it is just trying to get across that television will not stop being what it is today, so if you do not like it do something about it in your own way to not be surrounded by it.

Writing Process

With my Writing process I have a hard time getting started sometimes. I usually know what I have to write about it just takes my brain awhile to start working and coming up with ideas. With these stages that Behrens goes over, out of the six I probably do about 4 out of 6 of them. The ones I should work more on are probably invention and editing. When I start a paper I usually just sit down and start writing, now knowing about invention this gives me a chance to sit down and organize my paper a little bit more before i start writing my paper. So invention is one of the most important ones I think there is out of the six. In my opinion I do not think there is a less important one then the rest but if i had to choose one is revision. Again I think they are all very important to writing a paper and I will take them all seriously when I start my paper. the one process i spend most of my time on is definitely drafting just because I want the thesis and the introduction as good as it could be because that is the start of my whole paper. The one I find most difficult is drafting because coming up with a thesis just takes up so much of my time with the paper. The one I find the easiest is invention because you just get to brainstorm and come up with as many ideas as you can which is better for me in the long run.

Legacy

In my lifetime I want to be a leader and a good example to other people around me. I want to set a good example for other so they can go down a good path in there lives. To help help them make good choices and to stay out of trouble when trouble comes across them. So when I am gone, I want people to remember me for being a leader to other people and helping people make good choices. If somebody remembers me for being a leader and a good example to others, that person that remembers me will hopefully take after me and will continue to be a leader like I once was. The legacy I leave behind is not about me it is about other people and what actions they take in there life and I just want to set a good example now, so when the time comes my legacy will continue on and hopefully change other people's life.
